Energy roles stay open because the brief is wrong

The labor line is not the whole story
Energy Recruiting's public position is direct: labor has been one of the constraints operators cite when they talk about supply, and the failure is often connection rather than an empty market.
That only helps if the connection is specific. 'Drilling superintendent, competitive pay' is not a brief. Permian or Haynesville, one rig or three, 14/14 or a Houston desk with field weeks: those facts decide who will take the call.
Rewrite the requisition before you buy a list
Ask who the hire reports to, which contractors they will direct, and what decision they are expected to make in the first ninety days. Then ask what would make a good person say no.
A search that hides the rotation until the third interview wastes the only scarce thing on a small desk: attention.
